Limited space with more cooling! Most builds and race applications today involve big engines which take up a lot of space and require a large amount of air to keep cool. The traditional brushed high CFM fans are too big. Most high CFM fans with shrouds will run between 4.5" - 5" thick (or more). Northern's brushless fan and shroud will require only 3.5" of clearance and moves a tremendous amount of air.
