ARP, the world leader in fastener technology has released an M12 x 1.75 x 6 ̋ long thread cleaning chaser specifically designed for deep blind holes, like those found in LS9 and LT engines. Cleaning threads prior to engine assembly is a key step in the assembly process that prevents increased friction in the threads which can lead to uneven clamp loads across the head.
(Please note that this is strictly a thread cleaning chaser and not designed to cut thread.)
