DOCOL R8 is an advanced high strength steel that is 10%-15% stronger than 4130. Docol R8 has many advantages including a much smaller heat effected zone than 4130 chrome moly, a greater resistance to fatigue, no decarb layer to remove, consistent lengths, and can be mig or tig welded.
