Pistons For Gen 2 Ford 3.5L EcoBoost Engines
Ford’s awesome 2nd Generation 3.5L EcoBoost V-6 engines, found in many Blue Oval badged cars and trucks since 2017, can now have their power enhanced thanks to new pistons from Wiseco that are engineered for significantly elevated turbocharger boost.
Forged in-house from race-proven 2618 alloy aluminum, these new pistons feature a strutted design to withstand elevated combustion pres-sures and come in a 92.50mm bore. The compression ratio is 10.5:1.
Featuring an optimum balance of high strength and low weight, Wiseco’s new 2nd Generation 3.5L EcoBoost pistons come with heavy-duty wrist pins and a set of piston rings. Moreover, the pistons feature Wiseco’s highly regarded ArmorGlide® skirt coating to reduce friction and provide improved durability.
