PIT Instruction and Training is an educational institution located in Mooresville North Carolina and centered in the heart of NASCAR country. PIT began training pit crew athlete’s in 2001, providing a stable of pit crew talent for the area’s top tier race teams. Today, 48% of the 2019 Monster Cup Series pit crew athletes are former PIT alumni, and each race week since 2011 PIT alumni have been in 93% of NASCAR’s winner’s circles. Over the following years PIT expanded its educational offerings to include a corporate “lean” pit crew experience designed to help corporations perform quickly and efficiently in their work spaces just like NASCAR pit crews. Most recently PIT has created a structural welding and welding certification program designed to help PIT students find a point of entry into NACAR or into related businesses that require welding talent. PIT owners; Tom Deloach and Jeff Hammond have built and created a premier educational operation, consisting of a ten million dollar training facility surrounded by a quarter mile race track, containing a 80 seat stadium theater, premier corporate meeting, dining and observation areas.
