2026 F1 Concorde Agreement signed by all 11 teams

All 11 teams that will compete in Formula 1 from 2026 onward have signed the commercial aspect of the new Concorde Agreement that will come into force next year.

The bilateral agreement between the teams and F1’s commercial rights holder outlines the commercial terms that the teams will operate under for a specific period, with RACER understanding it covers the next five years from 2026. Following confirmation of Stefano Domenicali’s own contract extension as F1 CEO, the teams have now committed to the ongoing partnership.

“Formula 1 can confirm that all teams have signed the 2026 Concorde Commercial Agreement, which secures the long-term economic strength of the sport,” an F1 statement read. “Formula 1 has never been in a stronger position and all stakeholders have seen positive benefits and significant growth. We thank all the teams for their engagement during this process to reach the best outcome for the sport.

“The 2026 Concorde Governance Agreement will be finalized in due course.”

The commercial agreement includes Cadillac as a confirmed entrant from 2026 onwards, following its approval from both F1 and the FIA earlier this month.

Governance — the coming piece of the next Concorde Agreement — will be the first that needs to be agreed under current FIA president Mohammed Ben Sulayem, as the previous edition was finalized in 2021 under Jean Todt. This is the final year of Ben Sulayem’s first term, with a leadership contest set to take place later this year should any other candidates enter the running.

The announcement of the commercial agreement removes a negotiating tactic from Ben Sulayem’s hand, as he searches for improved terms for the governing body. With the teams and F1 aligned on commercial aspects, the FIA now needs to find a way forward against a united front from the other two main stakeholders involved in the Concorde Agreement.
