Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach yields its best television audience in nearly 20 years
The Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach yielded its best television audience in nearly 20 years as Sunday’s race won by Alex Palou delivered an average viewer base of 1,269,000 on FOX.
The steep rise from the 552,000 who tuned in last year was aided by the absence of a major rival – the 2025 Long Beach race went head-to-head with The Masters golf finale – and peaked at 1,527,000 viewers from 5:58-6pm ET.
The 130-percent improvement for Long Beach also helped IndyCar to achieve its fourth million-plus audience average from the five races held so far this season. To date, IndyCar on FOX is averaging 1,239,000 viewers per race in 2026, which is up 44 percent from last year when only one of the five opening races on FOX produced more than one million viewers.
