Arrow McLaren begins expansion of new Indianapolis shop

Arrow McLaren’s purchase of Andretti Global’s longstanding base of IndyCar operations has reached an important transition as the McLaren-owned team completed the acquisition of the property and has started a renovation and expansion project within the Indianapolis-based building.

With the development targeted for completion by the start of 2026, Arrow McLaren will move from its 33,000-square-foot shop to the retooled 86,000-square-foot ex-Andretti shop.

According to the team, “This new location will nearly triple the square footage that the team operates out of today, improving overall workflow and day-to-day operations. The renovations have been carefully designed and planned to increase adaptability while providing state-of-the-art equipment, technology and workspaces.

“Among the significant changes to the building, Arrow McLaren plans to introduce an expanded lobby showcasing the team’s success and heritage, a new second floor mezzanine, a premier fitness center and a new elevator to enhance accessibility. The exterior of the building will also experience a facelift with additional windows, architectural elements and a repaint to align with McLaren Racing’s brand identity.”

Andretti Global has a new facility of its own undergoing a similar retrofit in Indianapolis as well.

“We’re proud to begin the renovation and grow our footprint right here in Indianapolis,” McLaren Racing CEO Zak Brown said. “The investment is a big step in our long-term growth, and this new facility will provide our team with state-of-the-art tools, equipment and space to keep pushing forward.”
