East Coast Diesel Nationals
For years DIESEL Motorsports held a all-diesel truck event every Summer one weekend past the Bloomsburg Jamboree called the East Coast Diesel Nationals. We had over $15,000 of clay dirt brought in for the sled pulling track and hired a local company to install (on property we do not own). For over 10 years we held a fun truck event with great crowds in July even though it was a little hot some years.
DIESEL Motorsports in one day at different locations held drag racing, sled pulling, dyno competition and a show-n-shine with many activities going on at the same time. Throughout the years the vendor row was always relative to our trucks, we tried to keep people there who supported our yearly sponsor’s products. We even kept their competitors from display many times in order to feature major equipment.
A couple of years weather was a problem, but it was not an issue being in the month of July.
Like most things it changes eventually, the Numidia track had to change management since the original owner had health issues over the last few years. Bob Dimino was always a friend of our diesel trucks, and I always enjoyed his company. We wish him the best as we all grow older.
The new management moved the event into June to feature NHRA regionals for a much better price. Moving a long-established event always hurts and then Covid hit which really hurt many tracks and venues. Throw in the EPA attacks locally for shops and the venue was affected beyond repair.
DIESEL Motorsports invested many years of dollars and sweat into the event, so it was a big decision to move it this year.
DIESEL Motorsports moved the East Coast Diesel Nationals to a different location and date for the 2026 season. The event has moved to the Washington County AG Center in Boonsboro, Maryland on August 29th. The activities changed because the facility has so much more to offer with gates opening at 11 am for the truck/tractor show-n-shine, dirt drags 3-6pm and sled pulling 6-9pm!
The Western MD Pullers Association is helping with the pull along with coordinating with the AG Center, so the move has been an easy transition so far! We want to invite all past attendees along with all local truck and tractors to come to our family friendly event at the fairgrounds with very nice paved parking, restrooms and concessions.
August 29th is the date starting at 11am running to 9pm at the Washington County AG Center, Boonsboro, Maryland (just south of Hagerstown, MD/I-70).
