This exciting chapter will see Extreme H continue the revolutionary steps set by Extreme E, combining high-octane racing with a strong commitment to sustainability, propelling the sport into a new and innovative zero-emissions future.
Following the success of Extreme E, the electric off-road racing series that captivated audiences around the globe, Extreme H will pioneer hydrogen technology in motorsport, setting a new standard for sustainability in racing.
FS1 and FS2 have been a key broadcast provider of Extreme E in the U.S. over the past four seasons, bringing its thrilling, environmentally-driven races to millions of viewers. The extension of this deal into the hydrogen-powered Extreme H series reaffirms FOX Sports' commitment to innovative sports and sustainable entertainment.
Ali Russell, Managing Director of Extreme E and Extreme H, commented: “We’re delighted to continue our incredible collaboration with FOX Sports and expand our relationship to include Extreme H. Hydrogen is the future of clean mobility, and FS1/FS2 will play a vital role in bringing this next-generation motorsport to American fans.
“A special thanks to (FOX Sports President and CEO) Eric Shanks and his continued support of sporting innovation. Together, we will showcase the excitement of hydrogen racing while inspiring action around sustainability and the future of our planet.”
Bill Wanger, FOX Sports EVP, Head of Programming & Scheduling, added: “At FOX, we are committed to delivering innovative, groundbreaking sports content to our viewers, and Extreme E has been a phenomenal example of this. Extending our relationship into the Extreme H hydrogen series is an exciting step as it reflects the future of motorsport and the possibilities of clean energy. We look forward to continuing to share this innovative andpurpose-driven sport with fans across the U.S.”
The Extreme H series will retain the same thrilling race formats and off-road locations that have been the hallmark of Extreme E, but with the added twist of hydrogen-powered vehicles. The clean energy technology used in Extreme H will showcase how hydrogen can be applied to motorsport, setting new standards for innovation and sustainability in the automotive and energy sectors.
