Fluidampr Enhances Performance of Ford 7.3L Godzilla Engine with Precision Tuning
In a recent webinar hosted by EPARTRADE, Fluidampr's Marketing and Project Lead, Nick Orefice, and Paul Svinicki, President of Paul’s High Performance, shared their insights on maximizing the performance of the Ford 7.3L Godzilla engine. The discussion highlighted how Fluidampr’s cutting-edge vibration dampers offer game-changing performance for high-powered engines.
The webinar, titled “Mastering the Ford 7.3L Godzilla: Insights from Top Engine Builders and Fluidampr’s Game-Changing Performance,” brought into focus the challenges faced by engine builders in maintaining balance and longevity in high-horsepower engines. Paul Svinicki, whose expertise in pushing engines to their limits is well known, spoke about his early collaboration with Fluidampr when working on the Godzilla engine.
A Custom Approach to Power and Longevity
Paul reached out to Fluidampr in 2022, recognizing the need for a specialized damper to handle the immense power and torque of the 7.3L Godzilla engine. Stock dampers, while functional at lower horsepower, cannot withstand the demands of engines producing over 1,200 horsepower. The stock dampers were prone to causing damage to critical components, such as main bearings and timing chains.
Nick Orefice explained, “When Paul told us they were pushing 1,200 horsepower, we knew the stock damper wasn’t sufficient. We developed a custom damper specifically tuned for the Godzilla’s unique frequency requirements, ensuring peak performance and engine protection.”

A stock Godzilla-powered truck owner experienced a significant reduction in vibration after installing a Fluidampr damper, highlighting the product’s broad applicability across both stock and modified engines.

As the racing season comes to a close, Paul and his team plan to take the engine apart for an in-depth review. Despite the engine’s intense use, Fluidampr’s technology has ensured optimal performance without any major issues.
