FuelTech Unveils Next-Generation ECU: The FT700 Series
FuelTech, a leader in high-performance engine management systems, is thrilled to introduce its latest innovation: the FT700 series. In a recent webinar, Luis de Leon, Technical Director and COO of FuelTech, showcased the capabilities and advancements of the new FT700 series, which builds upon the robust foundation of the FT600 line.
A Legacy of Innovation
FuelTech, a Brazilian company with over 20 years of expertise, has consistently pushed the boundaries of electronic control units (ECUs). The new FT700 series represents a significant leap forward, transforming ECUs into comprehensive vehicle control units (VCUs). This evolution allows the FT700 to manage not only combustion engines but also electric motors in hybrid vehicles, as well as various transmission systems and other vehicle accessories.
Introducing the FT700 Series
The FT700 series debuts with two models: the standard FT700 and the FT700 Plus. Both models feature a 7-inch screen, with the FT700 Plus offering a larger, ultra-wide display for enhanced visibility. Despite the advancements, FuelTech has ensured compatibility with existing systems. The FT700 series retains the same main connectors as the FT600, allowing users to upgrade without the need for extensive rewiring.
Enhanced Capabilities
The FT700 series includes several notable features:
- Built-In GPS: Enhanced location tracking and data logging.
- High-Speed Inputs: Eight inputs capable of 400 kHz, supporting advanced sensor integration and real-time data analysis.
- Media Connectivity: Ability to connect video cameras and microphones, enabling synchronized recording with onboard data logs.
- Expandable Inputs & Outputs: Connectors for more comprehensive vehicle management.
Seamless Integration
FuelTech has designed the FT700 series with user convenience in mind. Existing FT600 users can easily transition to the FT700 by simply installing new software and converting their old tunes. The FT700 series is also compatible with FuelTech's line of pre-made harnesses.
