Halo By Orthene Launches GT Racing Brake Fluid
Halo By Orthene has launched Halo GT, a DOT 4 racing brake fluid derived from its flagship P1 chemistry, with a 336°C dry boiling point and ultra-low 1,350 cSt viscosity.
Halo By Orthene has launched Halo GT, a DOT 4 racing brake fluid with a 336°C (637°F) dry boiling point and an ultra-low 1,350 cSt viscosity. Derived from the company’s flagship Halo P1 fluid, the new Halo GT is engineered for club and sprint racing, serious trackday use, and fast road driving, and is built for the latest racing ABS systems. The fluid is available now through selected dealers, with wider availability to follow.
Highlights
- DOT 4 compliant racing fluid optimized for the latest racing ABS-equipped vehicles
- 336°C (637°F) dry boiling point for high-temperature braking stability
- Ultra-low 1,350 cSt viscosity for faster hydraulic response
- Derived from Halo P1 chemistry, positioned for sprint racing, trackday, and fast road use
Derived From Halo P1
Halo By Orthene built GT on the chemistry of Halo P1, its motorsport flagship, drawing on roughly five decades of brake fluid development. The company says GT takes the technology, learnings, and performance characteristics of P1 and adapts them for a wider range of drivers and applications.
Halo By Orthene, a division of UK-based Orthene, describes GT as its most advanced DOT 4 racing fluid to date.
Technical Specification
GT pairs a high dry boiling point with low viscosity, the two properties that matter most for consistent performance under repeated hard braking:
- Dry boiling point: 336°C (637°F)
- Viscosity: 1,350 cSt (ultra-low)
- Standard: DOT 4 compliant, optimized for the latest racing ABS systems
- Fade resistance: the company says GT maintains consistent pedal feel under repeated heat cycles
What Halo Says GT Delivers
Halo positions the fluid around three phases — the braking point, the release, and the first throttle application on corner exit. According to the company, GT delivers faster hydraulic response under load, more precise brake modulation, greater stability through repeated braking cycles, quicker piston release to reduce drag, and earlier throttle application on corner exit.
Availability
Halo GT is available now through selected Halo dealers, with wider availability to follow.
