iRacing, World of Outlaws team up for all-new Pro Series format in 2024-25

iRacing and the World of Outlaws will team up for a new professional eSports format beginning this November. The all-new iRacing World of Outlaws Pro Series will mix both the 410 Sprint Car and Super Late Model for a 10-race championship that emulates some of the biggest events in the sport.

The driver roster will be set each week through qualifying races that are open to all members with a Class A Dirt Oval license. These races will run on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays at 8 p.m. (ET), and the top 35 point scorers will be invited to the iRacing World of Outlaws Pro Series league each week for the Monday night main event. After the Monday show, the league is cleared out, and the process begins again. Points will be tracked as normal across those 10 main events to crown the series champion. There is a $25,000 prize pool for the 10-race series.

The new format not only allows a wider range of drivers to compete in the series, but also better emulates real-world dirt oval racing, where everyone who shows up has a chance to make the final. In addition, many of the top drivers in recent iRacing World of Outlaws Pro Series seasons, including three-time Sprint Car Series champion Alex Bergeron, 2023 Late Model Series champion Evan Seay, and past race winners like Logan Rumsey, Kendal Tucker, and James Edens have all excelled in both disciplines.

With the introduction of the new series, both previous World Championship series will be replaced by this new format. However, the top 15 drivers from the previous Sprint Car and Late Model Pro Series will retain their Pro/WC Dirt Oval licenses for the 2024-25 season, and the top 20 finishers in 2024-25 Pro Series points will be awarded the license after the completion of the season, as recognition of their performance in previous Pro Series events.
