Ken Perry’s Xtreme Arias (KPXA) Expands Manufacturing Capabilities and Adds 6000HP PROHUB Dyno

Ken Perry has been a respected name in NHRA Top Alcohol Dragster competition for more than two decades, earning National and Divisional victories — including the prestigious U.S. Nationals in 2009 — and setting the blown alcohol dragster world record in 2006 with an ET of 5.255 seconds. Today, Perry continues to drive innovation in high-performance engine technology through Ken Perry’s Xtreme Arias (KPXA), headquartered in Thomasville, North Carolina.

Originally established to refine and evolve the proven Fontana/Arias engine platform, KPXA has grown into a full-scale manufacturing and service operation. In 2022, the company relocated to the former CV Products building in Thomasville, positioning itself for expansion and increased production capability.

Advanced Manufacturing for Racing & Pulling Applications

KPXA designs and builds competition-grade engines and components engineered for the demands of drag racing, truck pulling, and tractor pulling. Each block and part is produced in-house using a full complement of advanced machining equipment, including:

  • Mazak 5-axis machining centers

  • Rottler F69A, SG9MTS, and H85A equipment

  • Mori Seiki lathe

  • Sunnen honing systems

This collection of precision technology, combined with KPXA’s highly skilled technical staff, enables the company to maintain tight tolerances and deliver consistent performance across all products. KPXA also provides service and repair capabilities for Hemi, Arias, Fontana, MBR, AJPE, BAE, KB, and Noonan engines.

New 6000HP Mainline PROHUB Dyno Installed

KPXA recently completed construction of a dedicated test cell for its newest investment — a 6000HP Mainline PROHUB Dyno. This addition allows the company to validate performance, refine engine combinations, and offer advanced testing services to racers and teams seeking reliable, data-driven performance results.

Commitment to Innovation and Performance

KPXA’s mission is to build engines that are not only competitive and durable, but also visually refined and engineered with attention to detail. The company continues to push boundaries in performance, quality, and innovation, meeting customer needs in complete assemblies, components, as well as maintenance and repair services.

Racers, engine builders, and teams are invited to contact KPXA directly or visit their facility to learn more about their manufacturing capabilities.
