News from the Della Penna Next Gen Foundation
Happy Halloween! We at the Della Penna Foundation have had a busy summer filled with in-person events at last. It's hard to believe we're already planning for 2023. In our latest news:
We met up with Heather Hadley at the Nascar event and are honored to have her join our Drivers Advisory Council. Heather took over our Instagram handle this past weekend and the exchanges were fantastic.
There's a new Community Advisory Council to extend our reach into local communities where we hold programs. Crista Facciolla is in Northern California and Karen Ogbugbulu will represent the Foundation in southern California. We'd also like to welcome Kevin Brown, BeGood PR, who's managing press relations. Thanks to the programs at the Indy 500 in May, we're also proud to announce our partnership with IUPUI. Michelle and I will be at the PRI trade show in Indianapolis in early December to meet with garages, innovation teams, high schools and IUPUI to finalize the details for a three day program with local high school girls the weekend of May 19th, 2023. Please reach out if you want to meet while we're there. At that time, we'll announce our hosts for our first-ever summer fellowships wherein high school girls will shadow a woman in the industry for a week to learn more about the world of motorsports.
Last month, Michelle spoke at the Women In Motorsports Conference with Industry Advisory Council members, Beth Paretta and Lyn St. James. It was a packed house in North Carolina and Michelle spoke about our upcoming summer fellowships for high school girls. She'll be in Las Vegas for a panel at SEMA in November. We're also organizing a panel at CES in January on "Diversity and Innovation in Motorsports" - if you'll be there and would like to partner, drop us a note.

All of this needs... funding and support. It takes a village to make our programs happen. Please donate whatever you can and list the Foundation on your Amazon Smile account now! If you or your organization is interested in learning about sponsorships, please reach out to either of us.
Warm wishes,
