NHRA legend Don Prudhomme to be honored at San Diego Automotive Museum

The San Diego Automotive Museum in Southern California will open a permanent display honoring NHRA legend and champion Don “the Snake” Prudhomme.

Prudhomme, who has lived in the San Diego area for a quarter-century after retiring from the sport as a multitime world champion driver and car owner, will be feted in a private grand opening July 13 ahead of the exhibit’s public opening.

Visitors to the museum, which is located in one of the historic buildings in San Diego’s famed Balboa Park, will see a display of many of Prudhomme’s NHRA trophies, firesuits, and helmets and be able to watch video clips from his Hall of Fame career.

The museum is located at 2080 Pan American Plaza, San Diego, CA 92101
