Palou and Rossi to test IR28 at Indy this weekend

Alex Palou and Alexander Rossi will be the drivers for the first on-track test of the new-for-2028 IR-28 IndyCar chassis Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 1-2 on the Indianapolis Motor Speedway road course.

The test will mark the first on-track validation runs for the IR-28, which was unveiled Tuesday. The new chassis and powertrain package designed to provide for faster lap times and improved raceability as well as enhanced safety will make its competition debut at the start of the 2028 NTT IndyCar Series.
