Sven Blusch to become the new head of BMW Motorrad Motorsport

BMW Motorrad is restructuring its management, with a renewed focus on motorsport. As a result, Sven Blusch will become the new head of BMW Motorrad Motorsport starting June 1.

He has over a decade of motorsport expertise, having previously overseen race and test organization at BMW M Motorsport. He also has experience as a race and data engineer.

Marc Bongers will shift his attention to the operational management of the FIM Superbike World Championship (WorldSBK) engagement, effective June 1.

Bongers has been involved in establishing BMW Motorrad Motorsports’ presence in WorldSBK and the FIM Endurance World Championship (EWC).

BMW says the overarching goals of the restructuring are to uphold the racing spirit, reinforce the brand’s presence both on and off the track, and share the passion for motorcycle racing with fans and partners worldwide.
