Powerglide deep cast aluminum pan kit
PART NUMBER HP5283: We have updated our popular Powerglide deep cast aluminum pan to now include a tapered sump and built-in windage tray! This updated pan design helps maintain proper transmission fluid control under high G-force conditions commonly encountered in modern drag racing applications. The windage tray helps reduce fluid foaming in the sump, as well as prevents excess fluid from sloshing into the extension housing. The tapered sump helps insure proper fluid level relative to the filter and pick-up, all of which keeps the filter and pick-up constantly covered in fluid, virtually eliminating the possibility of front pump cavitation or fluid starvation. Additionally, the left side of the pan rail has been machined with a recess to accommodate most commonly available shift cable mount brackets. Our updated pan kit includes the deep cast aluminum pan with 2-extra quart fluid capacity, magnetic drain plug with o-ring, windage tray, mounting bolts and lock washers, high flow screen-type filter, filter extension with gaskets and hardware, and pan gasket; everything you need to complete a sanitary, professional pan installation! Our updated pan will replace all currently available OEM or aftermarket Powerglide pans without any modifications to the transmission or vehicle.
