BMW XM SLIP-ON LINE TITANIUM EXHAUST FOR 2023+ MODELS
Akrapovič has released its BMW XM Slip-On Line (Titanium) exhaust system. The Akrapovič Sound Kit is also available, allowing the driver to remotely control the sound from the cockpit. These products can be found at Turn 14 Distribution, the sole U.S. and Canadian Automotive Distributor for Akrapovič.
Akrapovič employs high-grade titanium in the construction of this lightweight exhaust system, achieving total weight savings of 25 lbs, or 50.7%. Its sound is tuned to enhance the acoustic experience both inside and outside of the BMW XM. Integrated acoustic reflectors direct external sound toward the cabin, and two integrated exhaust valves at either side of the muffler. The result is a smooth, seductive tone when cruising at lower revs, and the 4.4- liter twin-turbocharged V8’s rumble is accentuated as the RPMs climb, culminating in a highfrequency roar. Delicately detailed components, such as the valve housings and collectors, are cast in-house at Akrapovič’s titanium foundry. Power and torque are increased by 10.2 hp and 9.3 lb-ft at 5,750 RPM. The system improves and accentuates BMW’s unique stacked quad exhaust tips, featuring inner titanium sleeves surrounded by hand-made carbon fiber outer sleeves. The Sound Kit is an optional addition that allows owners to use a remote or smartphone app to wirelessly switch between quiet and sporty exhaust profiles.
