E-Clutch Actuator OEM
Electro-hydraulic clutch actuator, controlled via clutch paddle on steering wheel
Technical description:
The E-Clutch Actuator OEM is an electro-hydraulic clutch actuator. The system is replacing the conventional clutch actuation via the clutch foot but is instead controlled via a clutch paddle mounted on the steering wheel.
This removal of a required link between input (paddle) and output (actuation) allows to place the actuator freely in the car, allowing e.g. a center of gravity optimized placement or a maximum reduction of hydraulic clutch line length.
Optionally, the system can act as a automatic clutch, with a similar behavior like a centrifugal clutch, using a specific software function.
The E-Clutch Actuator allows to open the clutch in ultra-fast 140 milli seconds (@ 40 bar clutch pressure) and is able to handle a hydraulic clutch pressure of up to 60 bar.
On top, the E-Clutch Actuator OEM is offering several other useful features which can be activated on demand:
- Integrated Anti-Stall functionality
- Assisted pull away function (“Launch Control”)
Additionally, the E-Clutch Actuator OEM is also supporting the FIA safety requirement to have the drive train disconnected from external (by e.g. track marshals) for stranded cars, when used in combination with the MEGA-Line Intelligent Autarkic Supply unit.
For optimum precise control of the actuator and to unlock its maximum performance of the E-Clutch Actuator OEM it is recommended to operate it in combination with the MEGA-Line Clutch Paddle GT.
For easy adaptation to your clutch setup, the unit is designed to accommodate the entire AP Racing CP2623 master cylinder range, to be able to easily tailor the actuator to your specific needs.
Besides its initially intended usage as a clutch actuator, the E-Clutch Actuator OEM can also be used for other areas of actuation. Due to our in-house software development, alternative control strategies or functions can be developed on demand.
