Audi R8/Lamborghini Huracan — Carbon Brake Kit — BKA-580
Our Carbon Brake Kit is specifically designed to complement our R8/Huracan suspension set and is only compatible with it (WAS-590). This product is engineered for extreme drag racing use.
To ensure the highest quality for our customers, this kit is intended for use with Strange Engineering carbon brake discs, pads, and calipers. One of the primary advantages of these components is their compatibility with 15" wheels, the most popular size in drag racing. These wheels allow for a larger tire profile, significantly increasing traction and improving times.
Additional benefits of this brake kit, when used with the Verkline full suspension kit, include:
- 15" tires do not contact the chassis at high speeds due to tire deformation, an issue sometimes encountered with 17" tires.
- The ability to significantly increase caster for better stability.
- A larger market and greater availability for 15" drag tires.
- Reduced rotational inertia and weight compared to 17" wheels and tires.
- Carbon brake discs that are 35% lighter than the original ones, further reducing rotational inertia and unsprung mass.
- Reinforced brake lines included in the set, enhancing brake feel.
- All components are designed using FEM simulation, ensuring safety, strength, and lightweight properties.
- All mounts are made from 6082-T6 black anodized aluminum, providing excellent strength, corrosion resistance, and heat resistance.
- Despite the reduction in rotor size, our brake set generates 85% of the OEM brake force.
- Brake balance is shifted to the front axle by 15%.
Included in the Kit:
- Caliper mounts
- Brake hats and disc retainers
- ABS sensor heat covers
- Brake lines and line mounts
- Bolts and additional hardware necessary for installation
Important Notes:
- The kit does not include Strange Engineering carbon brake discs, pads, or calipers. It is the customer's responsibility to purchase these components separately from Strange Engineering. The additional parts required are:
- B5042 – 2 pcs
- B5070-150 – 2 pcs
- C1790 – 4 pcs
- L4050H – 8 pcs
- P2322 – 4 pcs
- The kit does not include the wishbones shown in the attached pictures. They must be purchased separately under part number WAS-590.
- The kit comes with black brake lines as standard.
