PRI Prepares for Landmark 2025 PRI Show as Motorsports Community Converges in Indianapolis
As the motorsports industry prepares to gather in Indianapolis for the 37th annual Performance Racing Industry (PRI) Show, Michael Good, President of PRI, joined Race Industry Week to share an inside look at what promises to be the largest and most dynamic PRI Show in the organization’s history. With record participation, major new initiatives, and a sweeping focus on advocacy, workforce development, and industry unity, PRI 2025 is positioned as both a business catalyst and a celebration of the global racing ecosystem.
A Historic Kickoff Featuring Motorsports Royalty
The 2025 PRI Show officially opens Thursday morning with the PRI Grand Opening Breakfast, highlighted by the induction of the second class of the PRI Hall of Fame—a prestigious honor recognizing individuals who have shaped the motorsports industry. Following the Hall of Fame ceremony, Mario Andretti, one of the most iconic figures in racing history, will deliver the keynote address. Andretti’s presence underscores PRI’s mission of connecting motorsports’ rich heritage with its future innovation.
“This is the perfect way to launch what will be our biggest show ever in Indianapolis,” said Good. “Mario is not only a legend—he remains deeply engaged in motorsports today, which makes his perspective incredibly relevant.”
The Largest PRI Show Ever in Indianapolis
Marking its 20th year in Indianapolis, the 2025 PRI Show will once again fill the entire Indiana Convention Center, Lucas Oil Stadium, and connecting exhibition spaces, totaling over 1.1 million square feet of exhibit space. With thousands of exhibitors, teams, manufacturers, engineers, promoters, and decision-makers under one roof, PRI continues to serve as the industry’s central business hub.
New experiential elements debut in 2025, including the PRI Paddock, a live interview and engagement stage hosted by industry veteran Ken Stout, featuring more than 20 live interviews across the show. The Paddock will be flanked by racing vehicles representing everything from drifting to trophy trucks, reflecting PRI’s commitment to being truly “racing agnostic” and inclusive of every discipline.
Another major addition is Hammertown, inspired by the legendary King of the Hammers off-road event, reintroducing a strong off-road presence to the PRI Show.
TOPS Program: Supporting Track Operators, Promoters & Sanctioning Bodies
One of the fastest-growing elements of the PRI Show is the TOPS Program (Track Operators, Promoters & Sanctioning Bodies). This dedicated initiative brings together hundreds of racetrack owners, promoters, and sanctioning body leaders for in-depth education, leadership development, safety forums, and business best practices.
“With TOPS, we’re convening the right people in the room to address real-world operational and safety challenges,” Good explained. “This program strengthens the foundation of motorsports at every level.”
A Roadmap for First-Time Attendees
With its sheer scale and breadth, PRI can be overwhelming for first-time attendees. Good emphasized the importance of preparation:
“Have a plan before you walk in. Use the PRI app, study the floor map, identify your must-see exhibitors, and take advantage of over 120 educational sessions across three days. If you don’t plan ahead, you’ll miss opportunities.”

Educational programming spans engineering, marketing, safety, entrepreneurship, and race operations—making PRI not only a marketplace, but also a premier learning environment.
Year-Round Advocacy and Industry Support
While the PRI Show is the organization’s most visible event, Good emphasized that PRI operates year-round to advocate, protect, and connect the motorsports industry. Key initiatives include:
- Sanctioning Body Partnerships: Strategic collaboration with major series and governing bodies to amplify industry messaging and growth.
- Track Advocacy & Protection: PRI actively fights nuisance legislation and zoning challenges that threaten racetracks nationwide through federal-level advocacy.
- Next-Generation Workforce Development: PRI works with universities, trade schools, and engineering programs to build the next wave of motorsports professionals.
In 2025 alone, more than 120 universities and trade institutions and over 600 students will participate in dedicated student programming during the show.
Motorsports’ Economic Impact: A $70 Billion Industry
Earlier this year, PRI released its Motorsports Economic Impact Study, revealing that the U.S. motorsports industry generates nearly $70 billion annually and supports more than 318,000 jobs nationwide. This interactive, public-facing dataset empowers racetracks and industry organizations to demonstrate their economic value at the county, state, and federal levels—providing critical support for funding, zoning, and legislative efforts.
PRI’s Vision: Connect, Protect, and Advocate
At the core of PRI’s mission is a three-part philosophy:
- Connect the motorsports community
- Protect tracks, businesses, and participants
- Advocate for the industry at every level
From local grassroots racetracks to international racing series, PRI continues to expand its influence as the unifying voice of the motorsports performance marketplace.
As Race Industry Week concluded with this forward-looking conversation, one message was clear: PRI is not just preparing for another trade show—it is shaping the future of motorsports.
The 2025 PRI Show opens next week in Indianapolis, welcoming thousands of racing professionals from around the world for what is set to be one of the most impactful gatherings in motorsports history.
