The 5th Annual RACE INDUSTRY WEEK Soars to New Heights in 2024
The 5th Annual RACE INDUSTRY WEEK produced by EPARTRADE, RACER and SPEED SPORT soared to new heights with an elite group of more than 75 speakers representing almost every form of racing.
RACE INDUSTRY WEEK 2024 was held December 2-5, featuring Four Days of LIVE Speakers made up of race industry leaders, sanctioning bodies, racing series, OEMS, promoters, championship-winning drivers and more.
“We had four busy days with an amazing line-up of speakers,” said Francisque Savinien, who along with Judy Kean are producers of RACE INDUSTRY WEEK and founders of EPARTRADE, the Racing Industry, Every Minute, Every Day. “The racing industry never slows down. When one season ends, the next begins. We’re able to travel the world and virtually every form of racing has been represented here this week. A few years ago, industry leaders were here telling us what lied ahead in the future – things like Next-Gen, hybrid, electric, etc. - and now we’re seeing it unfold in front of us.”
Speakers included Jimmie Johnson, seven-time NASCAR Cup Series Champion and co-owner of Legacy Motor Club; Tony Stewart, three-time NASCAR Cup Series Champion and owner of Tony Stewart Racing; Ayao Komatsu, Team Principal, Haas F1 Team; Kyle Larson, NASCAR Champion and co-owner of High Limit Racing; Justin Marks, founder and owner of Trackhouse Entertainment Group; Guenther Steiner, one of Formula 1’s most popular and high-profile team principals; Alex Palou, three-time INDYCAR Series Champion; Antron Brown, four-time NHRA Top Fuel World Champion and owner of AB Motorsports; Jeff Dickerson, co-owner of Spire Motorsports; Steve Phelps, President of NASCAR; Jay Frye, President of INDYCAR; Beth Paretta, VP Sporting of Formula E; John Doonan, President of IMSA; Larry Foyt, President, A.J. Foyt Racing; Frédéric Lequien, CEO, FIA WEC; Alan Gow, CEO of BTCC (British Touring Car Championship); Doug Yates, CEO and co-owner of Roush Yates Engines; Erica Enders, six-time NHRA Pro Stock World Champion; Greg Biffle, NASCAR driver and owner of Pace Offroad; driver Ken Schrader and industry ambassador Linda Vaughn.
“It was unprecedented in terms of the quality of the speakers and panelists this special week,” said Paul Pfanner, founder of RACER Media & Marketing. “We were able to bring together the best minds in motorsports, the innovators, and leaders. This is the ultimate hangout if you’re in the racing industry, all without having to get in a car or fly out in an airplane. It truly is a place where the industry comes together to exchange ideas and share what’s happened in the past year and what will be coming in the year ahead.”
Almost 40 sanctioning bodies, racing series and event promoters spanning six continents were represented throughout the week’s webinars, as well as a featured panel discussion from Women in Motorsports North America.
“It was a tremendous week - our strongest week thus far,” relayed Joe Tripp, Managing Partner, and CEO of SPEED SPORT. “Who would have thought we’d be streaming portions live to over 100 million households on SPEED SPORT 1, Amazon Prime, Pluto. The content was outstanding. I really enjoyed watching with all the diversity from one aspect of motorsports to another from Formula 1 to grassroots. In the racing industry, there’s always something new to learn and we’re already looking forward to what we can do differently next year.”
Manufacturers, teams, and engine builders were also featured during the week. OEM leaders included Ford’s Mark Rushbrook, General Motors’ Jim Campbell, TRD’s David Wilson, Mazda Motorsports’ Jonathan Apple and Honda Racing Corporation’s David Salters, each reviewing their 2024 seasons, while also discussing the upcoming season and the future of the sport.
“It’s been a privilege to host this special week of industry leaders, racers, sanctioning bodies and event promoters,” said Judy Kean, co-founder of EPARTRADE. “We developed this for the industry during covid, when the world stopped and there were no trade shows. So, we decided to have our own and it’s hard to believe we’re now in our fifth annual Race Industry Week. It’s become a tradition in the industry, and we are extremely proud of it. What a stellar week we had. I’m not sure how it could have gone any better. A special thanks to all the amazing sponsors who support us, as well as the talented hosts who help produce the event.”
This year’s four-day event featured content distribution via Zoom, the EPARTRADE, RACER and SPEED SPORT YouTube channels, as well as the on-line sites Racer.com and SPEEDSPORT.com and on television with SPEED SPORT 1, with all of the content available this week on the EPARTRADE platform.
RACE INDUSTRY WEEK 2024 was presented by ETS Racing Fuels, Crower Cams, Fifth Third Bank Motorsports, Peak, Penske Racing Shocks and Scott Lewis & Associates, and sponsored by ARP, CTech Manufacturing, Performance Plus Global Logistics, 3FP Performance Racing Sensors.
