NASA's Vision for the Future: Jeremy Croiset Highlights the National Auto Sport Association's Growth and Innovation

Jeremy Croiset, CEO of the National Auto Sport Association (NASA), joined EPARTRADE’s 5th Annual Race Industry Week to reflect on the organization's evolution, its contributions to motorsports, and its exciting plans for the future. With over three decades of experience fostering amateur motorsports, NASA continues to lead the industry in accessibility, innovation, and inclusivity.

NASA: 34 Years of Grassroots Excellence

Founded 34 years ago, NASA has grown to become one of North America's leading motorsports organizations. Croiset attributed its success to a commitment to fostering a welcoming, inclusive environment. The hallmark of NASA’s approach is its progression model, which takes enthusiasts from beginner-level High-Performance Driver Education (HPDE) programs to professional-level road racing.

“NASA’s HPDE program was the foundation of what we do—taking someone with zero experience and turning them into seasoned drivers or racers,” Croiset said. “We coined the term HPDE, and it remains the gateway to amateur motorsports for thousands.”

Recent Developments Driving Growth

Croiset spotlighted NASA’s recent initiatives, emphasizing growth across its 15 regional chapters, which now collectively serve over 30,000 members and host 300+ events annually. Among NASA’s most impactful programs is a partnership with Toyota, offering GR sports car buyers complimentary track days with professional instruction.

“This partnership alone has introduced thousands to the thrill of driving on track,” Croiset noted. “For many, it’s a bucket-list experience, while others find a lifelong passion that keeps them coming back.”

NASA is also expanding into new motorsports disciplines, including drifting and autocross, to attract a broader audience. “These disciplines are exciting entry points for enthusiasts and align with our mission to make motorsports accessible to all,” said Croiset.

NASA Championship and New Tracks

One of NASA’s marquee events, the NASA Championship, will head to Ozarks International Raceway for the first time in 2025. Croiset praised the venue, describing it as “a track like no other in the U.S.” and commending its owners for creating a world-class facility.

Additionally, NASA continues to explore partnerships with new venues, including Hedgehollow, a recently launched circuit that expands the organization’s national footprint.

Innovations and New Partnerships

NASA is deepening its engagement with manufacturers and sponsors to enhance the member experience. The organization recently partnered with Hoosier Racing Tire to develop a new spec tire for the NASA Prototype series, adding another layer of competitiveness and accessibility for participants.

On the benefits front, Croiset highlighted discounts and partnerships, such as the NASA-OG Racing collaboration, which offers members exclusive pricing on safety gear and equipment. “We’re always looking for ways to add value to our members’ experience, whether through better pricing, more events, or new opportunities,” he said.

Reimagining Endurance Racing

Croiset touched on the legacy of the 25 Hours of Thunderhill, North America’s longest endurance race, which NASA plans to relaunch in 2025. Acknowledging changing market dynamics, Croiset noted the event’s unique challenges but emphasized its status as a highlight of amateur endurance racing.

“It’s the most grueling event I’ve ever competed in—Northern California in December, racing through the night. It’s an unforgettable experience, and we’re committed to bringing it back,” Croiset said.

Looking Ahead

NASA’s vision includes expanding its reach to new audiences and disciplines while maintaining its grassroots focus. “We’re developing new classes, expanding our drift and autocross offerings, and building partnerships to grow the sport,” Croiset explained. “Motorsports is large enough for all of us to succeed, and by working together, we can bring more people to the track and into the racing community.”

Croiset closed by thanking EPARTRADE for providing a platform to discuss NASA’s impact and aspirations: “EPARTRADE has done an incredible job with Race Industry Week, and we’re honored to be part of it.”
